Community announcements
Updates from schools, barangays, organizations, and the people your community already relies on — carrying the standing of whoever posted them.
Share trusted announcements, find out what is happening where you live, and raise the things that matter — without handing over your name to do it.
What today's platforms optimize for
Every one of them is a number that goes up when you feel worse.
What Duruha optimizes for
Updates from schools, barangays, organizations, and the people your community already relies on — carrying the standing of whoever posted them.
News is anchored to a real place, from your barangay outward. What concerns your street does not have to compete with what concerns the country.
Raise a concern without putting your name to it. Your reputation and verification still travel with the news, so it can be weighed rather than dismissed.
Your reputation follows your contributions — even when your identity does not.
Not one number
Reputation is measured separately per context, so being respected in one community never buys you authority in another. It decays when you go quiet, and any figure on screen can be opened into the full breakdown that produced it.
No hidden karma pile. No score you cannot account for.
Five lenses
genintcommxpersonaoverallDifferent roles carry different proof. Communities see the context before they weigh the claim.
One account can hold several of these at once.
You choose the order: your primary role leads, the rest add context. A nurse who farms on weekends is both, and says so.
Verification and reputation are tracked per persona — switching identities never means starting from zero, and never means borrowing someone else's standing.
Turn on stealth mode and your name and avatar are replaced by a consistent anonymous identity — the same one every time, so a thread still reads as a conversation rather than a room of strangers.
What stays on screen is everything a reader needs to weigh the claim: what kind of persona you are, whether that persona is verified, and what your standing is.
Anonymity is recorded at the moment you publish, not merely while a toggle is on. Step back into the light and your earlier news can stay anonymous — surface by surface, on your terms.
Privacy without losing accountability.
Withheld
Still rendered
Instead of one algorithm deciding everything, Duruha keeps separate feeds for separate intentions — and lets you arrange each of them.
generalThe home lens. Everything relevant to where you are and who you follow, weighted by place and community.
interestOnly the communities you have joined — strict recency, with a separate lane for what is taking off.
coreYour closest connections and the threads still moving, ranked by real conversation rather than volume.
Your feed settings are real settings.
There is no black box to reverse-engineer. The arrangement you choose is the arrangement the feed runs on, saved against your persona.
Arrangement
Universities, student organisations, barangays, neighbourhood groups, and the small specific communities that never had a decent home online.
Membership you grow into
Sets the rules, the tiers, and who gets in.
Trusted to moderate, welcome newcomers, and hold the line.
A settled member with full posting rights.
Reads, and — where the community allows it — publishes for approval.
The same four rungs in every community, so responsibility is earned rather than handed out.
Anchored to a real place
News and communities sit on the real administrative hierarchy. Local news stays local, and anything claiming a wider audience has to earn the reach.
Accountability runs both ways — for the people posting, and for the people moderating them.
Reporting
Four kinds of thing can be reported, and all of them travel the same review pipeline:
You can see where your own report got to. Restrictions are logged, time-bound, and appealable — and a pattern of bad-faith reporting costs the reporter, not the person they reported.
Two different exits
Quietly drops a person or a community out of your feeds. They stay reachable if you ever go looking — nothing is announced, nothing is severed.
A full cut-off. Out of your feeds, out of search, out of discovery — and, for a community, no way back in.
No generated news. No synthetic personas. Nothing on Duruha pretends to be a person who is not there.
Search reads for meaning rather than matching words, and answers out of what people on Duruha have actually written — with the news it drew from attached.
When someone raises a problem, an assistance panel can appear beside it with practical context. It is dismissible, clearly marked, and always kept apart from the community's own replies.
